I am so very sorry about the loss of another law enforcement officer. Please know that even though it may not appear so, there are many, many citizens who stand behind you in support and are heartbroken each time we lose an officer, a member of our military, first responders, and firefighters...our Heroes. We are sickened by all the negativity portrayed by the media and certain members of society! I pray that our country turns back to the principles upon which it was founded. Lastly, I wish those who criticize would realize that each profession has it's 'bad' but, a few 'bad' does not 'envelope' the profession as a whole; this is called common sense, which seems to have become obsolete. Prayers to each of you through these difficult times and for your safety each day. Please continue doing good because you are desperately needed. Thank you for your service.

Our prayers and thoughts goes out to Officer Barney's family and his fellow officers. I lived in SLC for many years before moving to Florida. I am a retired officer myself of 30 years and have seen too many of my brothers and sisters in blue killed in the line of duty. My heart has become very saddened to see the hate in this county towards our officers who are putting their live on the line to protect and serve them. May the angels in heaven wrap their wings around Officer Barney and welcome him into Heaven.
