Reflections for Lieutenant Luz M. Soto-Segarra
HOY TODOS LLORAMOS TU PARTIDA, TUS CONOCIDOS, TUS COMPAÑEROS DE TRABAJO, PERO SOBRE TODO TUS HIJOS Y TU ESPOSO. SABES, SE DENOTA UN AMOR PROFUNDO DE TU FAMILIA HACIA TI Y UN VACIO INMENSO. LE PIDO A DIOS LOS CONFORTE Y TE DOY LAS GRACIAS POR TU SERVICIO AL PUEBLO DE PUERTO RICO. HOY TUS HIJOS DEMOSTRARON SU AGRADECIMIENTO POR HABERLOS ENCAMINADO Y TANTO ELLOS COMO TU ESPOSO DESBORDARON EL AMOR QUE SIENTEN POR TI. NO FUE JUSTO QUE ENTREGARAS TU VIDA DE ESA MANERA, PERO ALGUN PROPOSITO TUVO LA VIDA PARA CONCEDERLO. DESCANSA EN PAZ Y LO SIENTO MUCHISIMO. TU PARTIDA HA DEJADO LAGRIMAS AZULES EN NUESTROS ROSTROS, SE TIÑERON DEL COLOR DEL UNIFORME. DTB POR SIEMPRE.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
Psalm 37:39-40

My heartfelt condolences to Lt. Soto's family,friends,and fellow colleagues of the Puerto Rico Police Dept. What a tragic situation that occurred. At 2 Timothy 3:1 it does mention that we are living in "critical times". Despite that many in this terrible world have no regard for life, the "God of Comfort", Jehovah, treasures life and has outlined a beautiful prospect for those that have fallen asleep in death at Revelation 21:4 "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more,neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."I pray God's words bring comfort to all who knew Lt. Soto.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, family and loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”
I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for the past four years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
Faith helps us see beyond the grave.

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
