Being a retired Air Force Security Policeman (law enforcement) and former Investigator with that organization, I have worked alongside many of these dedicated professionals in my career. I thank them for their past service, sacrifice and professionalism as they join the ranks of the fallen. As long as Old Glory waves over a free America, each of you will be remembered by your military brothers and sisters, and all those who cherish freedom. May God shine His perpetual light upon you all and protect your loved ones in the days, months and years ahead.

To The Families,
It is with great sadness that I learned of the deaths of Special Agent Adrianna Vorderbruggen, Special Agent Michael Cinco, Special Agent Peter Taub, Special Agent Chester McBride and two United States Air Force Security Forces airmen, that were killed by a suicide bomber in a village near Bagram Airfield in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on 21 December 2015.
As a retired senior U.S. Army Officer and retired Deputy Sheriff, I know firsthand the service and sacrifices that all our Military and Law Enforcement personal as well as the family’s, endure every day. These special individuals voluntarily put their lives on the line to keep the rest of us safe, allowing us to preserve our freedoms we hold dear. Their service was enough, however they responded to the call of duty and paid the ultimate price.
They and their loved ones will be in our hearts and prayers.
On behalf of a grateful nation, we honor their sacrifice.
May they rest in peace.

Greater love has no man than to lay down his life for his fellow man. For freedom. Truly they are senseless deaths perpetrated by cowardly terrorists. I pray that they have not perished in vane.
