Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Police Officer Noah Leotta, of the Montgomery County, Maryland Police Department, was suddenly and violently taken from us in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the cross. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A year younger than my own son - my heart breaks for those Officer Leotta leaves behind.
We will have special prayers tonight for Officer Leotta and for those who held him dear.
It's an unimaginable loss, that's for sure.
I call on lawmakers everywhere to take immediate action to strengthen the laws against drinking and driving.
Meanwhile, even though I did not know Officer Leotta personally, I feel the loss and I pray.

I remember meeting him at a bonfire in 2011. He asked me a lot of questions about the Maryland National Guard and how it could possibly help him become a Police Officer.

Rest in peace, brother. You did your community proud.

Oh my! Officer Leotta is younger than my son, who just got married. You were taken too soon; no chance to start your family; to have children; or to be that Favorite Uncle. My heart breaks for your family. God will take care of you now. I can only hope that the individual who took your life will remember you everyday and change his/her life for the good and begin to serve others as you did.

On behalf of my family and the Maryland State Police, I pray that Officer Leotta's family, friends and fellow Officers know how much he truly made a difference as a member of the Brotherhood... He will never be forgotten and I'm sure my father will be proud and humbled to have Noah's name next to his on the MCP Memorial... God speed, Officer Leotta and while your up there keep an eye out for a fellow DUI enforcer... You'll know him when you see him...
