John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Bryce was killed.
To the Hanes family, fellow officers, and all who call Bryce beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Haynes gave to his community and the citizens of California, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on November 5, 2015.

I had the pleasure of having Bryce in my academy class (151) and in addition to our academy time together, by choice, we spent 2013,2014 and 2015 working the same beat, shift and days. Bryce was a great asset to me and did a great job with keeping me in check. He also worked with great patience and professionalism. I sincerely loved this guy as a brother and miss him frequently. He and I were totally on the same page with most things and when we weren't he had great passion and comical facial expressions I could translate before he spoke letting me know he was in disagreement. Bryce - thanks for the many memories

My condolences to Officer Hanes wife, children, family, friends, and colleagues of the San Bernardino Police Dept. At Revelation 21:4 the God of comfort provides reassurance of a wonderful hope for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. The scripture reads "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I pray that God's promise brings comfort to all who knew Officer Hanes.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:
“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”
I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over four years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.
Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.
