Daniel Webster was one of the best leaders I've ever met. We served in the military together, laughed, jumped out of airplanes, road marched, and learned from each other. Daniel was the epitome of the Non-Commissioned Officer Creed and lived to support and train his soldiers.

Go easy, bro. We've got it from here. Your memory, for me, will always be of a consummate professional who embodied the US Army Leadership principles and friendship!

It's hard to know what to say but I want to leave a message for your family and friends. I wish I could say thank you and tell you what a hero you were. In this hard time of loss I hope those you loved will find comfort that strangers far and wide have read your story and will never forget. You were kind when you thought someone was injured. I will remember you for that.

May justice be served.
In love and light,
Stephanie

Again and again, this is played over, police officers and law enforcement officers being killed and murdered in this country,
The system does not work, police officers are the only line of
defense and protection, the bad guys are winning every time that an officer goes down.
I ask and pray that something changes this routine, good hard working police officers exist in every part of this country, may God and whatever almighty power protect them all.
Rest in peace,Officer Webster, you have given it all for mankind.

I am so, so tired of writing here or anywhere else for this reason for that matter. I am tired of seeing brothers and sisters needlessly gunned or killed in other ways while trying to simply protect and serve their public good and bad people we protect and serve them all. Then to have their lives ended by these pieces of shit. My heart goes out to the family, friends, department and brothers and sisters worldwide. Rest In Peace my dear brother serve with God now.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES OF ALBUQUERQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT, POLICE OFFICER DANIEL WEBSTER.

My heart is filled with great sadness at learning of the lost of your loved one and fellow Police Officer.
We in the law enforcement community are a family, although our uniforms might be a different color and we may have a badge, shield or star pinned upon our chest.
Our areas of enforcement may vary, we consist of many different agencies from across the nation, for we are : Municipal Police Officers, Sheriff's Deputies, State Police Investigators, State Highway Patrol Troopers, Conservation Police Officers, College Campus Police Officers, Correctional Officers and Federal Agents just to name a few.
We patrol small towns, large cities, college campuses, county roads, state highways, state parks and the United States Borders.
Whether active duty or retired, we are one family, a Law Enforcement Family, the thin blue line of protectors, brothers and sisters bonded together by Honor, Service and Pride.
Daily we honor our fallen brothers and sisters never forgetting their sacrifice.
Daily our position is clear that we will Serve and Protect our communities without faltering and with no hesitation.
Daily we show pride in our chosen profession Law Enforcement, for we willingly walk the line of Good over Evil facing the unknown with courage keeping our trust and faith in GOD.
We know that evil roam these streets and at any moment in the course of performing our duties the ultimate sacrifice might be required of us in the service to our community, for Law Enforcement is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have.
OFFICER WEBSTER
You did not die in vain.
You sacrificed your life in the service to the citizens of Albuquerque in the State of New Mexico with HONOR, PRIDE and DISTINCTION.
I'm proud to have worn the uniform of a law enforcement officer like you did.
I'm proud to have pinned the badge upon my chest like you did.
I'm proud to have served and protected my community as you did.
I'm proud to call you my Brother!
I commend you my fallen brother for making the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of your duty.
For you left us doing what you chose to do.
Performing a job you were trained to do.
Upholding the oath you swore to do.
Most importantly doing what you loved to do..........Serving and Protecting your community with Honor and Pride making a better and safer place for us all.

Rest in Peace Brother. Though I did not know you, I know someone who did. That person is an officer I know, who lateraled to my PD in WA state a few years back. Upon learning of your death I checked in with this officer from your agency and we spoke of you. He told me that you were part of a Pro-Act type squad that was assigned to patrol, and said that you were the type of officer that others aspired to be like. He told me that you suggested to him that he put in for that squad on a call you were on with him. He thought you were kidding and you assured him that you were not. He said that you told him that the sergeant of the unit was going to invite him but you thought you would extend it as well. He was very humbled by that.
Again, though I do not personally know, I actually do know you. You are one of us, a brother, a gate keeper. I will not forget your sacrifice, nor the words spoken to me about you.
