What a coward to plan, wait, bait and murder an honorable man - taking him from his family, friends and other citizens that rely on his love and service. How dare the criminal allow himself to be killed when he should have rotted in a jail cell pondering how stupid he was, begging for forgiveness from his maker. What a waste.
Thank you Office Myers for your everything you did for all of us here on the Panhandle of Florida! You were a rare gem that was snatched from the prime of your life. May you rest in peace with our maker.
God bless your family!

I am a father of a police officer killed in the line of duty. My son was 27 years old, and was ambushed, shot and killed. He too was responding to a domestic violence call, and he also was killed by a coward.
I know the pain of losing someone close to you, the hole in your gut, and the alternate universe you now find yourself in. I pray that God will comfort your family as he did ours. Bill was a hero, and he will never be forgotten.
God bless.
