My condolences and prayers go out to the family and friends of Deputy Bill Myers, And the Department. As Law Enforcement is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have. I commend you Sir, for making the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of your duty. Upholding the oath you swore to do. Serving your community making it a better and safer place for us all. Thank you, and thank you for your service.

From reading his Bio and Incident Details, it is evident that Okaloosa County Deputy Sheriff was the epitome of a dedicated public servant, having retired once and then returning to serve civil papers with the same agency.

It was such a despicable act of cowardice which took his life. God speed brother. You will not be forgotten!!
