Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

For Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth:
Sometimes just being in law-officer's uniform is all that it takes to become the victim of a weak-minded low-life and a pitiful coward. We regret that Darren would be ruthlessly murdered by such an individual We are grateful to the varied fellow law-officers who quickly organized and tracked-down a cop-killer. We have always been ready for this task - and we always will. Forever.
We pray for Darren's family, co-workers, friends and those who care about him. May they be prepared to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Thank you, Darren for your service to our community. Our hearts and prayers are with your wife and precious babies. Our corner of the world is grief stricken and appalled at this heinous act. You went to work just like any other person and some hate filled moron stopped you from going home that night just because of your uniform. May justice be swift and powerful and may the madness of hate against LE end. ALL LIVES MATTER
