Rest in peace Senior Trooper, Steven Vincent, both you and your family will always remain in our prayers. We saw you working tirelessly to make society a better place that was no to be. With tearful eyes we saw God take you to His loving home. Although you worked tirelessly society remains headed in an ever delinquent way. Thus, God made your golden loving heart stop beating and hard working body rest. God broke our hearts to prove to both society and to us, he only takes the best.

We Salute Our Fallen Brother

For I’m already being poured out like a drink offering,
And the time has come for my departure; I have fought
The good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness…2 Timothy 4:6-8.

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will
Of God lives forever…1 John 2:17

Today we stand to salute our brothers’ departure from here
He’ll leave behind a family and those who hold him dear
In a career he served where all give some, yet he gave his all
He leaves this earth behind as he received his final call

The risks he faced on this final tour was one of a unique kind
His bravery surpassed his courage at last he leaves a world behind
Everyday he’ll be remembered for all the special things he did
He patrolled the streets as Gods chosen servant to him goodbye we bid

Don’t worry our brother in blue you’ll always be a part of our mind
We’ll always recall the bright face you bore one that’s so very kind
The hours you spent making a difference protecting all mankind
You stood your watch and kept the faith of one so hard to find

We Salute Our Fallen Brother for the impeccable job he done
You walked tall on duty with integrity second to no one
The beat you worked was like a battlefield in a society filled with change
Yet you never wavered in your commitment to a job that somehow was strange

The flag of our nation will not fly at half mast across the entire USA
But trust us dear brother with taped badges we honor you this way
A symbol of a fallen brother that graced our presence everyday
We’ll always salute the job you performed before you went away!

For Senior Trooper Steven Vincent:

The law-officer on patrol is a front-line soldier among those who carry a badge. His or her duty is to confront the suspicious person immediately and usually alone. It is usually well before the call-for-assistance or the arrival of additional officers, mobile-commanders and special equipment. Indeed it is a duty whereby the quickest reaction is sometimes hardly enough. Such is the risk when we confront treacherous cowards who are also vicious killers who have zero regard for rule or law.
We regret that Steve would be the next defender to fall during the act of attempting to keep others safe. We also are enormously overwhelmed by those members of the public who placed their very lives on the line, without hesitation, and completed an apprehension effectively, resourcefully, fearlessly and with truly awesome courage. Our most sincere thankfulness is deeply profound and almost beyond adequate description.
We pray for Steve's family, co-workers, friends and all who care about him. May they all be prepared to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Trooper Steven Vincent, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
