Saint Michael will be there to greet our brother officer who made the ultimate sacrifice for this city, state, and our country in the fight of good vs. evil. He and his family served with their sacrifice knowing all along the danger that lurks in our society. He will be memorialized at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. and his service/sacrifice will not be forgotten. It is not how he died but how he lived that made a difference. Wherever you work , strive to make a difference. God bless his family and America.

To the family and friends of Officer LaValley, my most heartfelt condolences.
Because of his bravery, his sacrifice, a criminal, a killer, is off the streets. The citizens of Shreveport are safer because of him.
I cannot imagine the depth of your pain and sorrow. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Police Officer Thomas LaValley:
My Brother in BLUE, It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that I recognize and thank you for your service, loyalty, dedication, courage, and ultimate sacrifice in the line-of-duty for the citizens of the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, and the Shreveport Police Department. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God" Matthew 5:9. "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13. During this time of mourning, let us not dwell on the horrible circumstances surrounding your murder, rather let us celebrate the good you passed along to many during your lifetime; your family, friends, colleagues, and the citizens of the community you served so well! Death is not the end! "Truly, I [Jesus] say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" Luke 23:43. "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away" Revelation 21:4. Rest in peace now Tom, we will take it from here! May the Lord bless you always.

I pray that the Lord is truly cradling your soul in the heavens above. I have never known of your existence before today, but we are or were working in the same field, law enforcement. I pray you knew the Lord Jesus before you were approached by the spirit of death. I pray for your grieving family members at this time. I pray for your co-workers at the Police department in Shreveport, Louisiana. May you rest in His arms and I hope to see you one day soon, my brother in arms.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
Psalms 37:39-40.
