Reflections for Sheriff Dominick Cavanaugh
My great-great grandfather. This article doesn’t mention it, but the man who murdered Dominick was a political rival of his. Rest in peace.

Sheriff Cavanaugh,
Sir, it has taken over 116 years but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Dawson County. It took another year or so but your murderer finally got the justice that he deserved.
