In these troubled times, I miss Sean’s insights. He was very measured and even handed. He respected the people’s rights, the view points of all, and gave a warm face of what an LEO with compassion could be. He was a hero.
I miss our talks.

Semper Fi brother. Rest easy.

Growing up playing cops and robbers I was always the bad guy, growing up and apart our lives followed that same course. I was blessed with your actions the day you reached out to me . You have changed my prospective on law enforcement and will always be my hero. You still touch the lives of the community and always will. see u soon

My heart bleeds for our fallen hero's family and friends. There sacrifice gives us strength to be better people.

I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

Officer Bolton, I thanked you so much the day you responded to my call to my grandparents house. It was vacant but someone had broken in. Luckily no one was inside but I felt such confidence with you there. You and your fellow officers, I'm sorry i don't recall their names, were professional, yet humorous when you all realized I could make light of a situation. That being said I saw on the news tonight that it was the 3 year anniversary of your passing. Thank you, Sir, for your service.

I recently retired to Nashville Tennessee after 21 years. While sitting in a barber shop with my two sons and daughter, a gentleman approached. He thanked me for my service. I was wearing a police shirt with American flag with a blue stripe and Eagle Globe and Anchor. I thanked him for the words and then the the Gentleman became emotional. He told me that his Nephew was Sean Bolton. That Sean was a former Marine that survived Fallugah, one of the toughest battles Marines had fought since Chosin Reservoir. He left the Corp and decide to continue his service to his nation as a police officer. I learned that Sean was a cop, a down to earth cop that the bad guys feared. His uncle proudly told me that Sean had made over 100 firearm arrest that year he was killed. His uncle was proud but also still full of grieve. I felt his grief and pray that his family finds some solace. I thank him for sharing Sean's life with me and asked him to thank his family for his service. Semper Fi brother rest easy you did your duty.

My sincere condolences to Officer Bolton's family, friends, and colleagues of the Memphis Police Dept. In regard to the world we live in, 2 Timothy 3:1 states we are living in "critical times". We live in a violent world where more and more people have no regard for life, including those that serve as "secular authorities" (Romans 13:1). I pray for the all that knew Officer Bolton to take comfort from our heavenly father Jehovah God's promise of those that have fallen asleep in death recorded at Revelation 21:3,4 "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
