Reflections for Patrolman Alvin Phippenney
Officer Phippenney, while your assailant seems to have ultimately escaped justice here on earth, he surely faced a higher court and higher form of justice somewhere else at a later time. Please know that no passage of time will ever erase your memory, service and more importantly your sacrifice and you will always be remembered. Rest in peace always.

Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
