Reflections for Patrolman John James Wilding

You took a risk to do what was right. How incredibly tragic that it cost you your life, but your heroism is honored here.

I hope these kids learn something from this as they sit in jail and will, when they are released, hopefully many years from now, they will lead productive lives.

God Bless you Patrolman Wilding and may you rest eternally at peace.

Harvard University Police Dept.

I feel so bad when an officer loses his life. Please give his family my regards and tell them that there are a lot of us out here who care when an officer dies when trying to do his job. I bet it was hard for his family and his co-workers to see him in the hospital only to lose him to the injury he sustained while chasing those 3 guys. Hopefully justice will prevail.

Thank you for your duty and sacrifice to protect so many. No greater love hath no man than to give his life for his friends. Thank you to Mrs. Wilding and family for sharing such a giving man with the city of Scranton. Dear Lord I pray that you will give Mrs. Wilding and her family strength to stand in such a time as this. I pray Lord that you will come beside her and hold her up and love on her in ways that only you understand. Lord I pray for the Officers of the Scranton PD that you will also give them strength to stand everyday they step out to take their watch. Put a hedge of Protection around them and put 10,000 angels in charge over them to guard them as they file in to take their watch. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God. Lord I pray for them to have emotional and physical health. I pray Lord that you will watch over their families as they step out to take their watch and give them peace in knowing that you are there with them and guarding over them. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Son of David I pray Amen. Love in Christ to you all. God bless you all..

It's always sad when an officer dies in the line of duty but when a young officer with the rest of his life and career in front of him is killed, it seems even sadder, so unfair.
We pray for his wife and children that god would bring peace and comfort to their lives.
Rest in Peace brother.
