Sgt. Christopher Kelley was one of the best Officers I have had the pleasure to work with. We both started our law enforcement careers at the University of Texas at Austin. Chris was a go getter from the start, but always did things the right way. He was a wonderful husband and father. He simply was a great person and will truly be missed. Thank you for your service. Rest in Peace Brother, until we meet again!!!

Chris,
Brother I don't have the words. You trained me on the law enforcement desk at Ellsworth, we went to the desert together and both ended up as civilian LEOs. I thank you for the time you gave me and the knowledge you passed on. Ma'am I don't know your name, or your children's names, but I knew your husband and knew him well. I can only tell you he was a wonderful person, a great friend and a helluva desk sergeant. I share your pain tonight as I was just told this on the phone and got on here to see. I am in tears and hope you will rest easier knowing he enriched the lives of many. Dude, you will be truly missed. I just closed my eyes and saw you leaned back in your chair on the desk with that smile correcting my blotter.
Chris I've thought about you over the years and still laugh when I think about you, Blisky, K Rupp, MSgt Harris, MSgt Peters and the crowd. Thank you for laying it on the line, the thin blue line. We've got it from here. "Defensor Fortis" and the Frozen Chosen.

Sergeant Chris Kelly, I don't know you personally but I know the life we have shared, the love of family, friends and your fellow officer.
No one can understand the loss of a fellow police officer except a fellow police officer.
We have shared a love for the job, the satisfaction of protecting our fellow citizens and knowing we have given our full measure.
We are rendered nearly speechless from two simple words, Thank You.
Thank you Sergeant Kelly for being there for the citizen who's car broke down, thank you for listening to the battered wife and lost child as you comforted them in their grief, thank you for the nights, weekends and holiday you didn't get to spend with your family in order to protect your community, thank you for all you have done.
Thank You and may you Rest in Peace Brother.
