My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Holloway's family and his LEO family with the NOPD. I remember watching the memorial of Officer Holloway on the tv series Night Watch.

I watched Night Watch S2,E4 tonight and was so moved by the EMT’s and police officers emotions when Officer Holloway’s information was shown. I love policemen!! I’m a retired nurse and realize how much protection they provide. There are bad apples in Every profession or line of work. People who only criticize need to be quiet. I wish people especially media could be even handed in coverage. This man gave his life for his city. My thoughts are with his family.

Even though I don't know you Officer, I wanted to let your family and fellow NOPD officers know that when a community looses a law enforcement officer each one of them has respect near and far.

"It's been long days without you my friend."

Missing your humongous sense of humor. Your last minute calls to take care of something you forgot to do.

Rest In Peace sir. Thank you for your service.

O Almighty God,
Whose great power and eternal
Wisdom embraces the universe,
Watch over all policemen and
Law enforcement officers everywhere.

Protect them from harm
In the performance of their duty
To stop crime, robbery,
Riots and violence.

We pray, help them keep our streets
And homes safe, day and night.

We commend them to your loving care
Because their duty is dangerous.

Grant them strength and courage
In their daily assignments.
Dear God, protect these brave men and women.

Grant them your almighty protection,
Unite them safely with their families after
Duty has ended.

I saw him on Nightwatch. He was an awesome person and it makes me really sad that he lost his life. He was also an awesome cop.

Prayers for his family and community. I was able to meet him once when I got lost and out of gas traveling cross lH10. I couldn't believe he bought a gas can put gas in my gran tornio and made me follow him to a gas station where I filled up. He also chewed me out cuz I was a lone female driving and I ran out of gas.

My prayers are with Officer Holloway family and the New Orleans Police Department over this senseless act of violence. Romans 13:1 states "let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God." It's just so unfortunately that a large number of people don't follow this command. Being in subjection to superior authorities also demonstrates love for God. God provides some comforting words of those that have fallen asleep in death. John 5:28,29 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
