Reflections for Patrolman James Arthur Bennett, Jr.

Rest in peace brother. It’s been many years since we served together at JPSO.
Never forgotten.

Officer Bennet, it's now been 9 years since your murder. This page does not say if your killer was ever caught. We can only hope and pray he/she was/is. Regardless, this animal should face real justice, be it in this world, or the next, though having him caught, tried and convicted, would bring about some closure.

God Bless you, Brother and may you forever Rest in Peace.

Officer Jim Leahy, Jr.
Harvard University Police Department

Police officers protect us first and foremost. God bless officer Bennet.
If ANYONE knows anything about this officers murder you must TELL !
Imagine for one moment that this had happened to your Father, Mother, Brother, Sister ! Well .. IT COULD while these evil murderers roam free! If you know ANYTHING .. TELL ! It’s your duty to yourself, your family and to GOD ! Tell tell tell. Cleanse your heart and soul, before God.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I'm watching it now. Had to Google info about the case and HANO.

So sick and tired of our officers being gunned down. When will they quit releasing thugs from jail for acts like attempted murder.

My sincere condolences to Patrolman Bennett's family, friends, and colleagues. Indeed, the bible states at 2 Timothy 3:1 we are living in "critical times". Many in today's society have absolutely no respect for "secular authorities" (Romans 13:1). I pray that God's promise recorded at Revelation 21:3,4 bring comfort over the loss of Patrolman Bennett "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when James was killed.

To the Bennett family, fellow officers, and all who call James beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Patrolman Bennett gave to his community and the citizens of Louisiana, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 24, 2015.
