Visiting from Wisconsin and came across his memorial at the park.
Such a tragedy, but also a beautiful memorial.

The city should be proud of him and his sacrifice as well as keeping his memory alive. Well done city of CDA.

Our condolences to his family, both blood and blue.

I was eight years old, and I remember sitting on the curb on Ramsey avenue when his parade drove past. I sat with one of my friends, another officers son. Even when I was eight the gravity of what has happened made me understand just how heroic our protectors are. I am seventeen years old now, and I can only say that respect has deepened.

My daughter Zoe and I saw Greg a couple months before he passed. He was in the grocery store with his eldest son getting some last minute items celebrating his newborns 1 year birthday. He was elated. Greg always had a smile on his face, kept his head held high, a man to be admired. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I learned about this tragedy from a colleague of SGT Moore named Harvey Ballman. This story tugs very heavily on my heart strings. I am retired U.S. Army, as a Pharmacy Specialist. I was also in Armor, with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. My service is irrelevant here, as I praise SGT Moore, for his love of being a Police Officer, of the camaraderie he shared with his fellow officers, the commitment to truth, justice, and the humanity of man. We will all miss SGT Moore deeply, and to family and friends I offer my heartfelt condolences.I am so sorry for your loss. There is no greater loss. Bless you and keep you, all the days of your lives.
I praise first responders with all my heart, and I mourn his passing. (Thank you Harvey Ballman)

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Greg was killed.

To the Moore family, fellow officers, and all who call Greg beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Sgt. Moore gave to his community and the citizens of Idaho, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 5, 2015.

Rest easy, brother Moore. We have the watch from here. Watch us from your earned place in paradise, fellow sheepdog.

To Mrs. Moore and your family; it is my sincere hope that you remember your father and your husband as he lived: a hero, a father, and a husband. May the cherished memories that you have, and the knowledge that he bravely devoted his life to the service of others provide you some comfort. He blessed this earth with his life and career, and we all share in your loss.
