Jared (Dragon),
He was my buddy, my friend, my partner. I cant explain the hurt I feel nor can I describe it.
For those of you that did not know him. He was that guy that you always wanted around. He was that guy that when you were having a bad day, he made you laugh. He always looked at things from the better side of it and always seen the good in any situation that he was confronted with.
He loved his job so much. You could call him anytime, day or night and he was ready. He would come into work sick as can be and we would have to tell him to go home and get well. He hated it because he thought that he was letting our team down. I would have to tell him over and over again that there was nothing that he could ever do to let us down, that he was not just our partner but our Family. He hated going home and he would call me after hours so I could give him the play by play of what we did that shift.
Jared (Dragon),
I love you and you deserve to rest in peace brother. We have the watch from here. When we meet again Ill give you the play by play.

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

You toed the line dressed in blue, doing what only few are chosen to do.
A sheep dog among the ranks of few.
Giving your all day after day, working to keep the wolf away.
You were called home on this day.
God needed you and called you away.
We’re thankful for the short time you were able to stay.
Hearts broken, with no words to convey,
The loss we feel on this tragic day.
We will march on to honor you in every way.
We will never forget your sacrifice, our brother in blue.
Take watch on the high ground my brother
Stay safe and we will see you at the end of shift.
My deepest condolences to the family, friends and Officer of the Ocala Police Department.

Our Country, our State, our City, Ocala PD and the family and friends of Officer Forsyth Ocala PD FL as well as all in the LE world are all mourning his tragic loss. Now we extend our love, prayers and support and condolences. While the training aspects of his loss are being investigated aand scrutinized, let us not forget the vest aspects. Florida lost two officers recently while they were wearing their vests when the bullet went into the side panel area that doesn't give protection. Mike Roberts of Tampa PD was the other - he died from criminal action and Off Forsyth was a tragic accident. I Pray for the other officer that was involved in the accident also. Even when the investigation shows this was an accident, his life will still never be the same. I hope the LE profession does something about the vests that are not the 'bulletproof' they need to be - how many more have been lost this way? In memory of those fallen this way we need to say "NO MORE" Rest in Peace Officer Jared Forsyth. May your loss not be in vain. Your family is in my Rosary prayers. May God Bless your soul and carry you on angels wings into His Heaven with our other fallen heroes.
