Another year, another year empty of the promises unfulfilled. You are dearly missed Trevor and not forgotten.

For your family, I've planted on Red Pine tree for each year of Trevor's too short life on my property in Brainerd, MN. They grow tall and strong just like your son.
God Bless.

Trooper Casper was a man who was destined for greatness--on his very first day. May God grant his peace to his family. Where do we find such men?

You displayed courage, professionalism and integrity as a Trooper. When an Officer dies our Nation loses part of our best sons or daughters. For that we should all cry tears of sadness. Rest easy young man, and God bless you.

Trooper Casper and family and his law enforcement family. I’m a police officer of 17 years in Alabama. I recently came across your story while looking up some training videos to show my new officers. Your story had quite an impact on me as I could see you did nothing wrong and everything right. Trooper Casper, you are truly a hero and there’s no telling how many lives you saved when you performed your duties better than how you were trained to handle. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you and you immediate and extended family. My father was a Wisconsin state Police Officer in the 70’s. Trooper Casper, thank you sir for the sacrifice you made.

Casper Family and friends may God grant you all with a speedy healing. All i can say is what a Sacrifice Trooper Casper and way to young. I really cant believe how many Pukes are out there that have no respect for authority. A young Man just starting his career has lost his life because of a disrespectful Puke. Trooper Casper may you walk the grounds above and keep patrolling along with many others that have fallen before you. God Bless you and all of them for your service and Ultimate Sacrifices.

We just passed the two year anniversary of when we lost a courageous young Trooper. Trevor I never knew you personally, but you are an inspiration to me. My goal has always been to become a Wisconsin State Trooper. When I become a Trooper, I will be the same age as you when you first started. Every time I am at work you are in the back of my mind. When I am out on the road, I will always keep in mind what a courageous young man you were. Rest easy Trevor. I will never forget you and what you did on that day.

I stood in silence in front of your name on the wall at the Law Enforcement Memorial in DC today. You are not forgotten.

I drew his name for my arm band that I wore for the Heros Ride held this past Saturday in Conroe Tx. I found him after completing my 26 mile ride and wanted the survivors to know that each hilly mile was dedicated to him.

It is horrible that such a brave person becomes the youngest police officer ever killed in Wisconsin. Life lost far too soon.

Trooper Casper, as a future LEO it was my honor to tell your story to my class mates. You are a true hero in my eyes and my heart aches to see a true warrior like yourself be taken so quickly but yet you kept fighting.

I personally wish I would have known you. After hours of going through police reports, witness accounts and narratives of fellow officers/troopers involved with the incident, I hope and pray that if the day ever comes that I have to step up and take action, I do it like you and keep fighting. I believe I will continue to tell your story and bravery throughout my career and use you as an example of what a LEO should look like.

Gone but not forgotten sir. RIP Trooper Casper, I will continue to wear this bracelet to remind myself of the officer I should be. Thank you for your service and bravery.

While I didn't have the privilege of personally knowing this hero, he was the officer that was assigned to me on my race bib for today's police week 5K. I ran for him today and thank him for his bravery and service.

Officer Casper, I feel so fortunate to have met your family here in D.C. From them I can see why you are such a beautiful person. Your loss has affected so many people from so many places. We truly lost a HERO. But I know you are watching over us now. I wish I knew you in life. I will never forget you. Your family and friends are in my thoughts always. RIP

Without a doubt, I know the purpose of your entire life course--from your supportive family to your excellence in training--was to be the hero when your community needed it most. Your actions saved countless other lives, and I am eternally proud of the enduring inspiration your heroism will forever provide!

Much has been made about the incident being Trooper Casper's 1st solo shift. I will remember Trooper Casper for his heroic effort and ultimate sacrifice. Trooper Casper was prepared to handle the most difficult of situations and he responded heroically and admirably. Warriors go into battle knowing they may not always return. I believe Trooper Casper embodied that ideal. He sacrificed all for the benefit of the rest and without hesitation. My prayers are for his family, friends and loved ones. Your sacrifice is also understood and appreciated. May God bless and comfort each of you.
