Trevor, though I didn't know you, I grieve the loss of your life as if I did. The story of your short life reminds me of my LEO husband's. It breaks my heart to know that the world has one fewer truly honorable man in it, and that a future LEO wife has been robbed of your presence in her life.
I grieve as a complete stranger. I cannot even imagine how much your family and friends feel your loss. I pray for their healing, and I thank you for your service. You will be remembered by many.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

Trooper Casper, you are an inspiration to all of us. You chose a career path that most people fear to take on because of the dangers and risk associated with carrying a badge. You chose a career that involves you running towards danger instead of running away from it to protect the public from evil. You paid the ultimate sacrifice that haunts all of us working in public safety and you will never be forgotten. Thank you for service and sacrifice. I pray that you keep a watchful eye on the rest of us from Heaven. Rest in peace Trooper.

A man’s life is not measured by his wealth or status, but by what he does with his time on earth, be that many or just a few years. Trooper Trevor Casper did much with his years.

I stand in awe at the bravery of this young officer and the too many other officers who’s names grace these pages.

My deepest condolences to the family and colleagues of Trooper Trevor Casper. I will not forget his sacrifice and what he stood for, as a man, a son, a brother, a friend and as a Law Enforcement Officer.
