Reflections for Police Officer Brennan Roger Rabain
Nine years ago, in the wee hours of the day, a HERO was lost. Officer Brennan Rabin made the ultimate sacrifice,on my dispatch channel, doing something he loved, while serving his community. Afterwards, I developed a severe case of PTSD, which not only ended my career as a Dispatcher, but nearly ended my life. Out of that came some "Post Traumatic Growth" in the formation of the The Thin Gold Line Foundation, and volunteering for Warfighter Advance. Today, Brennan's father Roger Rabain is holding an all day celebration of life at Brennans grave site. Although I heart broken that I cannot be there physically, I am there in spirit, in my mind, and in my heart. Brennan, THANK YOU for your sacrifice and know that there are hundreds of people alive today that have been helped and are still in this earth because of your sacrifice.

I did not know this young fella, but he died helping others and that makes him a hero. When I first read this story, the name rang a bell of a name i have not heard of within 15 years or more. I know this young mans father well as he was like a big brother to me and after reading this story of his son my heart felt as if i have lost a little brother. My sincere condolences to the family as i would very much like to reunite with a friend that i have not seen in years.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

Two years later brother, I hope we are making you proud. Your daughter is growing into a beautiful, bright little girl. Her smile is infectious. Your father has become "Pop" of the department, and your mom holds strong. We all miss you and will continue to keep your memory alive and take care of your family. Until we meet again....

Revelation 21:3,4 reads "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." May these loving words from our heavenly Father's promise provide comfort to the family, friends, and colleagues of Officer Rabain. You are in my prayers.
