Railroad Police agencies seem to be slowly becoming a thing of the past, which is a travesty. For all of those who still serve to protect one of the main things that made America what it is today, and for all who preceded them, we, as a nation, owe our thanks.

Officer Stewart, you gave 12 years to the Rails and because of you, those rails were just a little safer. The fate of your killers is not posted here, but we can only hope they faced true justice, if not in this life, then in the next.

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without paying tribute to our heroes of the past, Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79h anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
