One of the many amazing men and women who gave so selflessly and heroically that day and the many days that followed. Rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice are always remembered by your law enforcement family.

Uncle Tom,
I am your niece, Dolores Weiners Granddaughter. I know we have never met before because I was born in 2008, 5 years after your death. I still love you very much and all the other police officers and members that helped in 9/11 and all the people and animals that have lost there life on that tragic day. I can never thank you for keeping our family, the people in the twin towers, and NYC safe during that day. It is a honor to be in your family. I will try my best to carry on your and all the people who lost there lives on that days legacies like grandma. I prayed to God for you and all the people who lost there lives on that tonight
See you soon in Heaven Uncle Tom. (I hope you are watching my baby Robin for me)
Rest In peace.

Rest well my brother. You have done your time in hell. Although many people do not realize the impact of the loss of our brothers and sisters who were 'There', we, still the living, will always remember. We can only hope that you are in a much better place watching over your loving family, and all those who miss you. Until we meet.

Tom,
Yesterday you were taken from us thirteen years ago. A lot has changed in our family since you you've been gone. During the last year our family has grown by one, as you well know, Declan Thomas, your grandson was born. Our fight with Washington, DC continues to have you and our fellow NYPD officers who have died from 911 illnesses honored. Now over 100 NYPD officers have died and only six have been honored by Washington, DC thus far, a number way to small. Our fight will continue until all are honored, this I promise you.

Detective Thomas WEINER, God Bless You and all those who valiantly serve and protect us all, for they consider it more as their honor, than as a sacrifice.

Today is 12 years since you've been gone,
but our family tries to carry on.
Your bigger than life light,
still shines in our hearts bright.
Over 80 fellow NYPD brothers and sisters are lost,
to post 911 illnesses, a very high cost.
Though the City and State have honored you,
the Washington, DC Memorial still has no clue.
The five DC have chosen to honor are to few,
as they have yet to honor many others including you.
My promise to you is that until all are honored including thee,
we cannot say we are a country that is free.
Until we meet again.

I said a little prayer today for Detective Weiner and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Tommy was a dogged detective with a specialty in graffiti artists. We lost some many brave heroes due to 9/11 and the tragedy continues.
I have had the pleasure of becoming acquaintances with Tom's daughter recently & I know he would be so very proud of her. May he rest in peace.

You have joined a list of people who, in spite of the dangers, both known and unknown, gave time and put out effort to help at the site of what will, God Willing remain the worst terror attack in United States history. May nothing ever surpass this terrible event and though I pray no more names are ever added to the aforementioned list you now occupy, in my gut, I know that list will grow. You are ALL heroes!
God Bless and may you FOREVER Rest in Peace.

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without honoring our heroes of the past, Your heroism and service is honored today, the 13th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. We shall never forget any of our 9/11 heroes.
Rest In Peace.
