My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and fellow officers from Denham Springs PD for your loss of HERO Officer James Foster. Officer Foster left Earth too soon, and lights our way to Heaven when our final watch is done.
Officer Foster will NEVER be forgotten as long as men and women continue to pull on their uniforms and badges and strap on their weapons in order to protect citizens from crime, make our streets and communities safe, and answer the cries for help. Code 3 to Heaven Officer Foster.

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

A stupid move by a careless or distracted driver is often the reason behind a tragic death. Now, you're gone but so long as those who know and love you best keep you forever in their hearts and minds, you will never TRULY be gone.
God Bless and may you eternally Rest in Peace, Brother.

Just like our military brethren overseas, every time a public service officer gears up for duty, he/she leaves a blank check made payable to the people he/she serves in an amount up to and including his/her precious life. That check was cashed on December 30. The thin blue line is the lesser for this immeasurable loss. Rest in Peace Officer Foster. Duty, Honor, Country
