Reflections for Detective Wenjian Liu
I was working midnights, 7 weeks out of the Dayton Police Academy, the night Ptl. Waverly Jones and Joseph Piagentini of the NYPD were ambushed and murdered in 1971. It was that night that I understood that police officers are the front line in a never-ending war against those who have no regard for human rights or human life whatsoever. More, we had to endure vilification daily by many critics with their own agendas who had neither the will or the guts to stand on that line.
Now here we are again, almost 43 years later, and we still dying, still being vilified, but still on the front line just the same. Grieve, but do not despair. Continue the fight but do not forget who we are fighting for, or the values that led us into law enforcement. Do not let the liars and haters be the last voice heard--for the memory of Officers Liu and Ramos.

My faithful servant.
You were called upon to serve others.
You were asked to see, what no man should ever have to see.
To go through, what no man should ever have to go through.
But you did so with pride, honor, and integrity.
My faithful servant.
You were called upon to defend those, who could not defend themselves.
To provide justice to those, who did not respect it.
To lay down your life, if the time called for it.
Again, you did not question what was asked of you.
You did it with love, compassion, and loyalty.
My faithful servant.
In times of adversity, you prayed for strength.
In times of triumph, you praised your Lord.
You served your Country, State, and city proud.
Your service will forever be remembered by the many lives you’ve touched.
My faithful servant.
When your service on this earth is finally complete.
I will welcome you home with open arms.
I will embrace you and proclaim,
“Well done thou good and faithful servant.”
RIP my brother, the Lord has taken you home.

"If anything worthwhile comes of this tragedy, it should be the realization by every citizen that often the only thing that stands between them and losing everything they hold dear ... is the man wearing a badge.", I'm reminded of these words by than Governor Reagan as we should all be so great full for what law enforcement does for us each and everyday. May God bless the family and may perpetual light shine on this brave officer!!!

As a civilian and citizen, we remember our police officer's gunned down and killed. We must stand behind our legal system and our officer's. We must stop this violence in black neighborhoods. This violence is getting out of hand, and will only lead to a "RACE WAR".

God Bless our Officers. If not for the police the armed forces we all would be in danger from those who want to disrupt the society and nation. Local police are the front line against the criminals among us. Thank a policeman for what they do every day.
