Reflections for Detective Rafael L. Ramos
Officer, I read about you, that you are (yes ARE) a God fearing man. I know you are within the Lord's loving embrace now. No harm will ever come to you. You have served you community with honor and integrity. You will never be forgotten. Your family will always cherish your memory, and they will be supported by our loving embrace, we will care for them through this difficult time. I love you, I honor you. Rest in heavenly peace.

Our nation's law enforcement works hard to protect us. They are the backbone of our nation's defense against the lawless individuals, who try to take our freedoms away. It will continue to be the men and women in local law enforcement and emergency services, who will be protecting us. We must thank them for their continued vigilance. Without their sacrifice, we would less capable of protecting our nation, our faith in God and our family. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends, and the members of the NYPD during this very difficult and tragic time.

May you rest in peace Sir. It is my hope and prayer that you did not die in vain. We, the public, have been awakened. I know in my personal life I have taken steps with my children to be more mindful and deliberate about thanking officers and making donations to ODMP and holding vigils and praying for slain officers and the safety of living officers. I will not let you die in vain to the extent that I can influence my own family. I love you, though I never knew you. Please rest in the Lord's loving embrace.

As a visitor to NY city I am always and forever grateful to the men and women in blue. THANK YOU! Better than the empire state building, better than the sights and sounds is seeing the NYPD always present to serve and protect. Humanity is more humane because of the spirit of giving and concern you bring to the strees, being there for all who live in Peace. Now we all pull together with you. Love to the Blue

We mourn collectively today for the the fallen officers, Ramos and Liu. I am so sorry for the evil that befell these officers who just wanted to serve and protect their fellow men and women.
The NYPD, the Ramos and Liu families will be in my family's prayers this holiday season.
It is a disgrace, what is transpiring in our nation where leaders fail to support you first responders who possess the brass iron courage that most of us could not muster, to put citizens lives above your own. You run toward danger while the rest of us run away from it.
I salute the NYPD. I salute Officer Ramos and Officer Liu. I salute their families and the law officers all over America.
I appreciate what you do to keep me safe and my loved ones daily. God speed to Officers Ramos and Liu.
God bless and protect the NYPD!!

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Rafael Ramos who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of these two officers and all of NYPD. It's a sad day in America when politicians side with criminals over cops. RIP brothers.
