Reflections for Guard Leonard Otoway Page
Guard Page,
On today, the 110th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Virginia. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 108th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Guard Page, I had the honor of researching your line of duty death over the past few year. I completed the research today, the same day that the Virginia Public Safety Memorial was dedicated only a few blocks from where you were killed. Your name will be added to the wall next year.
Thank you for your service to Virginia.
