This really hits close to home. I live in Montgomery. My family has been affected by this tragedy. Even though we didn't know the victims personally, we are devastated nonetheless. But for the grace of God go I! I have said that phrase all day. My father retired after 40 years as a police officer. And we have sons close to the same age as the boys that were killed. Please know we grieve with you and for you. Many prayers are being sent up for all involved. Rest in peace!

I had the honor of working with Bart in the Montgomery Fire dept. One day in 1988 or 89 I can't remember which. Bart was Feeling down, I asked what was wrong, he told me his Grand daddy was not doing good. With tears in his eyes, he told me about going to his house and shaving his grand dad and helping to take care of him. His grand dad passed away shortly afterward. I believe Bart is with his grand daddy today. I love you pal. Rest in peace.
