Though I'm a civilian, I'm still much more than extremely honored to be the first to leave a reflection in your well due respect. How can it possibly be ignored that your ultimate sacrafice was somehow a direct calling from the man above? It may seem untimely and senseless but I truly believe that he made it absolutely clear by taking you on this particular day of all days. The exact same date 26 years later is well beyond just a simple coincidence. Obviously, the need for you to be reunited outweighed your purpose here. Though, your loved ones and friends must naturally find that all too selfish as anyone would, we have to keep faith that all of the answers will someday come. I wish, hope and pray that your family will be given the utmost strength during these dark times and I thank you for your relentless and brave service of keeping us safe.

Our family has been watching these horrific events unfold all day today...and our hearts broke once again, even as we prayed that no other officers/deputy's would be harmed after Deputy Oliver was Killed in the Line of Duty. Our prayers are equally the same as they are for all that know and love this brave and selfless deputy. Only our great comforter Jesus can provide what everyone needs to heal from this tragic incident. Our prayers will be continuous as everyone grieves these selfless individuals. Investigator Davis Sr. will NEVER be forgotten.
