THAT BLUE FABRIC THAT IS THE VERY LINE OF OUR PEACE AND SAFETY

"I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of that blue fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and hold that blue line. I will continue my watch from above."

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO US ALL.

Agent Robledo, you and your fellow Border Patrol Agents have one of the most frustrating jobs in law enforcement. At times it seems like you are a sea wall of 6'x 6'. An effort is being made but it can't so the job, but not for lack of trying. Your efforts are heroic and admirable, against all odds you all go out there day after day, night after night. You are heroes.

Agent Robledo, you have been physically taken from your family and friends, but you will never truly be gone from their sides.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

In Honor of your Sacrifice and for your family and friends, I salute you as a HERO! May God
Give the family and friends the strength and faith to deal with this tragic loss. Words can not express my sorrow!

"The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

When we are called to join our lord we leave those who love us mourning in despair. But it is the love and belief in God what gives strength and acceptance to those who stay behind. We all know that there will be a time in which all of us will be reunited again under the grace of our lord. And this knowledge is what gives us the strength to endure the sad moments that our existences presents us with at times. My sincere condolences to the family and co-workers of Border Patrol Agent Tyler R. Robledo.
