Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Chief of Police Michael Anthony Pimentel

We were academy mates at Corpus Christi P.D in 1984. You provided the needed leadership we needed. I will always remember your guidance and advice throughout the 26 weeks we spent together. Even with 10 years of prior service at Austin P.D, I wasn't surprised to hear you were still in law enforcement 30 years later after we graduated the CCPD academy.
RIP Mike.

My deepest and sincere condolences to Mike's family, especially to his grandchildren that he loved affectionately when he visited them in Corpus Christi, Texas. Where he also attended Journey Church off of IH 37 & Violet Rd. I first met Patrolman Pimentel when I was a Police Sargent in Corpus Christi in 1984. Many years later I met "Cowboy" Mike at a Blue Knight Meeting in San Antonio where Mike was the Blue Knight Motorcycle Law Enforcement Chapter Chaplain. Mike prayed beautiful prayers and he impressed me with his knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mike was at that time employed by a University/College in San Antonio, TX. Several years later I ran into Mike where he was the Lead Detective/Investigator at Mathis, TX. Police Dept. He really liked drinking those Cafe Latte or Mocca coffee. I got him to join our Blue Knight Texas 36 Chapter out of Kingsville, TX. as our Chaplain. He was always inspired by the Word of God ready to Pray for any of our bike members in need or distress. Mike "Cowboy" rode a black Harley-Davidson with loud pipes along side of us when we gathered for meetings at different locations. He had a beautiful cottage on Lake Corpus Christi west of Mathis where he worked, but he said said he was not getting as much pay as he needed so he was thinking of moving back to the San Antonio area. He settled in to Elmendorf Police Dept. and was happy there till yesterday when God the Father called him up. RIP.

The public does not understand or appreciate the peril that our Police Officers face each day. The national news if full of alleged Police Brutality complaints but is silent on the brutality against Officers that occurs each day.
