Reflections for Police Officer Scott Thomas Patrick

On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Police Officer Scott Patrick and the extended law enforcement family of the Mendota Heights Police Department, Minnesota. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Jesus said that in the Father's house there are many rooms, and that he was going to go and prepare a room for each one of us. We believe in the promise of salvation brought by Jesus Christ to us all. May the Lord receive him in the arms of his love, may he see the Lord face to face. My prayers are for the wife and daughter in this time of sorrow.

Crying as i write this...the daughter and sister of MPD Detective Russell, and Sgt.Michael Green, I feel your pain. As my brother neared his retirement, I prayed for his safe return home each day. There are no words to express the sadness I feel. I pray for you, your children and extended families. May you find strength in the love, support and prayers of the community and may you find deep "Footprints in the Sand" of God holding you up.

Officer Patrick,

Rest well in the arms of God. You are in good company joining the ranks of others who chose to "Protect and Serve" who also paid the ultimate sacrifice.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over three years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.
