Westerfield Family,
I am a member of the 2015 Police Unity Tour. If you are not familiar, we ride in honor of Officers lost in the line of duty the year prior. We ride 250 miles over 3 days from Portsmouth VA into Washington DC. I have been blessed with the honor of riding for Jeffrey this year.
I can not express how sorry I am for your loss but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as we embark on Police Week and that I will honor Jeffrey's memory as I ride in honor of him!
Blessings!

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Jeffery was killed.
To the Westerfield family, fellow officers, and all who call Jeffery beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Patrolman Westerfield gave to his community and the citizens of Indiana, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on July 6, 2014.
