Reflections for Special Officer James W. Brown
Railroad Police agencies seem to be slowly becoming a thing of the past, which is a travesty, but for all of those who still serve to protect one of the main things that made America what it is today, and for all who preceded them, we, as a nation, owe our thanks.
Officer Brown, your efforts have now been brought back to light and I thank you. My Dad was a Railroad cop for 5 years before joining my hometown PD. He's told me plenty of stories and though he mostly tells the funny ones, I know some of the not so funny ones. What the RR Police do is a tough job. You have my respect.
I hope you are resting peacefully. God Bless, Brother.

Officer Brown,
Sir, it has taken almost 113 years but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as an LEO but for our Country as well when you served in the U.S. Army as well.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 113th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace
