Rest in peace and always know that no passage of time will ever erase you service and sacrifice.

What kind of animal is it that would fight so vehemently against a law enforcement officer over what probably would have been a small amount of jail time or even a fine? How tragic that this 'thing' was let loose after only 20 years when your family was sentenced to eternity. Our justice system is no better today, if not worse.

Special Game Protector Jackson, the job you did and the job still done today is not an easy one. Many take the job you do for granted. The lives sacrificed by the many Game Wardens/Environmental Police/Wildlife Officers is testimony to the risks you take and yet, sadly, so many still cannot fathom the importance of what you do.

You were and remain a hero. God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 117th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
