The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them;

As I watched the news unfold I heard that an officer from our neighboring State had been injured and later that evening I heard that Officer Arkell died as a result of his injuries. At that point my heart sank and my thoughts turned to the officers that had to make the notification and the family receiving the news. Difficult days are yet to come but a nation of Officers will be at the families side as we all grieve together. May you RIP

Author John Green wrote, "What is the point of being alive if you don't at least try to do something remarkable." By all measures, Officer Stephen Arkell was remarkable. Having attended the Peace Officer's Memorial service last night in Washington D.C., Officer Arkell and his family was in our heart. Rest in peace, sir.
