Reflections for Trooper Gabriel Lenox Rich
Deepest sympathies to the men and women of the Alaska State Troopers. As a fan of the show, Alaska State Troopers, they truly are a unique police force. To the families and friends of these two brave men, may you find peace and comfort in the coming days. Trooper Rich, it breaks my heart to have seen you on the show and to hear the news. Your brothers and sisters will cover it from here. May you rest in peace brother.

I can not begin to tell you how deeply sad this makes me feel. In the State of Alaska these Troopers paid the ultimate sacrifice with their life's trying to help others. May God Bless them as hero's and to their Family's and friends my heart breaks for your loss . Just remember that Sergeant Patrick Scott Johnson and Trooper Gabriel Rich paid the ultimate price so others may live. They are Hero's .

Thank you Trooper! You laid down your life, doing what I will always consider as real police work, keeping people safe while hunting down and apprehending very real, very dangerous people!
You weren't sitting inside the station doing clerical or admin work, you weren't out writing tickets like the townies do, you gave your life protecting others, which is what you are sworn to do!
God bless you Trooper Rich, for your sacrifice and may God bless your family in their time of need!

I am a retired Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police living in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Since 1995 I have had the pleasure of working and socializing with Members of the Alaska State Troopers. Without exception AST officers personify the very best America and Alaska has to offer. I didn't know Trooper Rich or Sgt. Johnson however, prayers and thought of my wife and I are with the family, friends and colleagues of these fallen police officers.
