Officer Maloney,

Rest well

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, family and loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for the past three years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.

To the family of this officer we would like to express our heartfelt condolences. It is so tragic to lose a life in a way that is not expected. As a family raised in Plymouth it just saddens me even more. I was we could be there to help not only the family but the police department at this time. I am a mom of an officer killed in the line of duty and know how hard this is going to be. God be with all of you at this time and know that we are praying for all of you.

Police Officer Gregg Maloney,

When you made your decision to enter law enforcement you became blessed:

For the Lord said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." Matthew 5:9 ESV

When you were on motorcycle patrol in your community on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, you answered God's call to serve:

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." Isaiah 6:8 ESV

As a result, you sacrificed your life so that others might live and be protected:

And the Lord said, "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 ESV

I, along with your family, friends and comrades, will mourn your sacrifice and loss in the line of duty:

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 ESV

Now go! Rise up! And do battle against evil as an angel for the Lord!

In God's merciful love,

Pastor Steven R. Closs
Retired Captain of Police, Nashua Police Department, Nashua, NH
