Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

As we near the 48th anniversary of the day my dad paid the ultimate sacrifice for our safety, I reflect on the many great times we had together as father and daughter. As a child when we lose a loved one sometimes it is difficult to understand the magnitude of the many lives our loved ones touched. Although I was very young I have vivid memories I have cherished over the years and shared with countless people. My prayer is that we all remember that it takes a special person to be a law enforcement officer and special people to be their families. Pray daily for the safety of our officers and their families, it means so much to all of us. God Bless.
