Rest in Peace, My Brother. Your courage, commitment, service and sacrifice shall not be forgotten.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Though we often wear a uniform of different colors, in my case green and gray, we are all the same as those who say, wear black and white. And we all would take a bullet for another brother in arms, standing for freedom, justice and equality. Let us all bow our heads, raise a feather, offer a chant or way, lower our nations flag, to honor and recognize another fallen warrior hero...

I was very fortunate to have know you personally & to have worked with you for many years on the Pisgah National Forest. I will always remember our last foot patrol together in Linville Gorge Wilderness Area . I pray that you are at peace now & that God will comfort your family in this very difficult time. REST IN PEACE

To the family of this officer and his K9, You are in our thoughts and prayers. Officers always put their lives on the line for the rest of us, which most of us take for granted. It takes a very special person to be in the law enforcement field. Thank You Officer Crisp and K9 Officer Maros for protecting and serving our community. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace.

I am a Forest Service employee and my heart is breaking for Officer Crisp's family. Forest Service law enforcement personnel and fire fighters are the best. They risk their lives daily for U.S. citizens and for our natural environment. I grieve for Officer Crisp and his loyal companion, K9 Maros.

My prayers are with family mainly at this time, however I pray for the agency as well. My husband met Jason several years ago when interviewing with Forest Service and spoke very highly of him. He kept in contact with him afterward. We are deeply sadden of this horrible loss to the agency and mainly to his family.
