Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

It was a honor to have Officer Crisp in our ranks. He was a dedicated K9 Officer and loved Maros like a brother. He was a fine Officer and served with honor, integrity and sound moral judgment. This is truly a tragedy and my heart goes out to his wife and children. No family should have to endure a lost like this. May God watch over his soul and keep his family safe.

I find it hard to separate my sadness, my tears, my shock and my anger against a corrections system that gambles with the lives of officers and citizens that now we have lost officer Crisp in this insane dice throwing called parole and probation.
I send my condolences, respect and prayers for strength to family, friends and The Forest Service after his senseless loss.
You are not alone at this most difficult time.
With all respect; Dear Almighty God.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of a husband, a father, and "a selfless warrior." I never had the occasion to meet Officer Crisp, but I know he is a hero. The "brotherhood" is one good man poorer today. Gods grace, strenth and peace to his family and friends.
