The Marshall was attempting to control 4 kids who were on a 3 day drunken spree. He was a good man trying to keep the peace as best he could. His family suffered and tried to get past the event. The town itself was never the same afterward. To this day the event is still remembered, as it should be, in the town of Guin, AL.

We ask that God bless his memory and forever give him peace.

A stupid kid who would have been in only marginal trouble for being drunk and disorderly ended up ruining his own life and more infuriating, taking yours. Those that suffered for all of that were your wife and children. Tragic in the least. I'm glad you are remembered here. Thank you for your service.

God Bless and may you continue to forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 124th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
