A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Phoenix Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.

Detective Hobbs,

YOU ARE A TRUE HERO, MY BROTHER! You fought valiantly and took that COWARD with you! Your family and colleagues will not have to endure the painful and emotional tribulations of going through a trial and facing the COWARD who took your life!

Furthermore, they will not have to hear the ridiculous excuses mitigating his actions! You've made our world safer at the expense of your own life!

May God ALWAYS bless you and your family!

RIP my brother in blue!

Even without knowing the entire circumstances, I am so proud of this WARRIOR for fighting through his injuries and fatally wounding the disgusting offender who thought to shoot a police officer. Being a police officer myself, and having a family member as part of PPD, I am honored to be a part of the thin blue line. I lost my brother, Capt. Leide DeFusco, in the line of duty in 2012. My heart is with your dear wife and children.
Det. Hobbs, you are forever a warrior in our hearts.
