On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Amanda Baker.
To Amanda's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Baker gave to her community and the citizens of Nebraska, and for the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on February 16, 2014.

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain; but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

What a heartbreaking loss to all those who knew Amanda and I myself is heartbroken just knowing her son will never see his mommy. I am taking criminal justice in college and my goal was to work with the juvenile justice system I know this must be such a revolving door with some delinquents and to hear of such a tragedy is very upsetting. Amanda Baker may you forever Rest In Paradise and may you always watch over the life of your son.
