As a former Baltimore City Officer after 30 years the stories are still the same, another brother officer has paid with his life protecting citizens that are so quick to point a accusatory finger. If the public only knew the real truth about what goes on, on the streets of everywhere in America they would hide in fear 24/7. I have been on the screens and next to (3) of my brother officer when they paid with their life and yet I and you will gone after the services are over knowing that we only want to go home to our love ones. God Bless all officers and their families, please watch over one and all.

Thank you Deputy Pine for being our Earth Angel watching over all of us in the Orange County and Orlando areas. Thank you for choosing to step up and be a hero to all without asking or expecting gratitude. I for one am thankful and grateful for you being the example all aspire to be. You were thoughtful, kind, funny, and above all-a man of God who showed through actions what love is and can be. Your love of your family, life, and desire to help inspire us all to be better people and remind us that life is short, we never know when our last moments are and to make sure we let those we care for know just how much we love them.
My heart breaks that you were taken too soon and hope your family can find peace one day. May your spirit watch over them and help them to feel your love surround them in this time of terrible loss. RIP and may our love and pride for you be felt in Heaven always.
I was working the night you were brought into our hospital and prayed for you. When word came that you had passed I cried. We lost a great man, husband, father, son and soul.
We will NEVER forget you Deputy Pine..toasting you with a Mt. Dew and no ice!!

Police Officer's Prayer to St. Michael
Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police,
who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional
eyes on your earthly force.
Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for
investigation and wise judgement.
Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and
law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.
You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences
with the devil that the police officer's lot on earth is not
always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so
pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the
devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.
And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your
heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the
throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all
the people. Amen.
Thank you Deputy Pine for paying the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of others. May you rest easy sir.

To Deputy Sheriff J. Scott Pine's wife and children, I am sending you heartfelt prayers as I am deeply sorry for your loss of your husband and Daddy. Please know that sharing your sadness and grief openly is the healthiest for your mind, spirit and body. My loving brother Ron Mahony, Clearwater P.D., in 1977 was also killed in the line of duty, I know your pain, it's a heartache that never completely heals. With God's help may Deputy Pine's children learn to use their grief in a positive manner, even if it's just to help each other and their Mother.
