Condolences to the grieving family and loved ones of this honorable and brave officer. God bless him for his service and we all are at a loss to understand all of this. But Deputy Sheriff Pine has gone HOME" to almighty God, and til we meet again in that day to be reunited with those gone on before us, we bid a earthly farewell. May God's presence be made known to the family and help heal their hearts and wipe away the tears. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Amen.

My heart aches for the family of Deputy Pine. I pray for their strength to endure this pain. You can't make sense out of the senseless. All you can do is take it second by second, minute by minute and eventually day by day etc... I lost my husband 3 years ago, also in the line of duty. I also have 3 children. I'm here for the wife if she ever wants to reach out and speak to someone who has been in her shoes. I don't have the answers on how to grieve because we all grieve differently but, I can offer my experience. My email is [email protected]

Deputy Pine's friends and family: I am so sorry for your loss. I know the grief you are feeling is unbearable right now, but please know that his sacrifice will not be forgotten and his loss is being mourned around the nation. I thank you for your sacrifice Deputy Pine, but it breaks my heart that it had to happen, and so young. You will not be forgotten and I hope your children grow up knowing what a true hero their daddy was.
