Reflections for Officer Darrell Jean Windhaus
A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Customs and Border Protection. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.

Mr. Winhaus was one of the most caring and unique individual I have ever had the honor and privilege to call a friend and co- worker. Officer Winhaus was always the first to arrive and the last to leave, always volunteered for any assignment and eager to learn new techniques. Officer Winhaus loved to tell stories and did he ever tell them. It is with a heavy heart that I say rest in peace my brother.
