For Special Agent Joseph Peters:

The task of the soldier/agent in combat is almost beyond description when trying to convey to others, many of whom have no military experience, the compounded danger present when compared with what most are familiar with by way of news reports and television. Added is the exceptional risk for the CID agent who must expose him/herself to environments that might include dangers not normally encountered as a matter of course. We regret that SA Peters would be the next soldier/law-officer to meet with such an ill fate. Heaven awaits a special welcome for one so imbued with a sense of honor, dedication and devotion to our God and country.
We pray Joe's family, friends, fellow-soldiers, and all who care about him.
As a retired state trooper, retired first-sergeant of the United States Army Reserve and regular U.S. Air Force veteran of the Viet-Nam era, I am proud to render SA Joseph Peters and final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police

as a Special Agent with the US Department of State, serving overseas I had the rewarding experience to work with the men and women of the US Army CID in Vietnam and Korea and found them go be great individuals and investigators; and, without saying brave soldiers and cops. I pray and weep for Special Agent Joseph Peters and his family - both his personal and official family - he will be missed by all. May he be with God in heaven protecting us all.
